Horse Hunt Chase to return to Dalriada

We are pleased to announce that the Horse Hunt Chase will return to this years Dalriada Festival. The Hunt Chase will be a real spectacle not to be missed. Taking place along Carnlough Beach and according to tides, a course will be erected by which horses will be required to jump over obstacles known as hurdles and fences. The course will include a short route into the shallow waters of the sea then back along the sandy beach. Full information, including times, available soon.

Award-winning chefs Paul Rankin and Nick Nairn visit Glenarm Castle as part of their BIG FOOD TRIP

Northern Ireland's newest Triathlon Club to take on this years Triathlon at the Dalriada Festival.

We are pleased to announce that INVICTUS TRIATHLON CLUB  will be coordinating and managing the triathlon at this years Dalriada Festival which will see a major revamp on last years event. INVICTUS IS NORTHERN IRELANDS NEWEST TRIATHLON CLUB. The triathlon will take place on the evening of 18th July which will be Ireland's first ever evening triathlon and will be open to both amateurs and professionals. Locals will again be encouraged to take part so as to be in with a chance of claiming the winning title on their home turf. In addition to this, and on the same evening,  INVICTUS will also be running a KIDS DUATHLON which will give the young and aspiring athlete the opportunity to spread their wings and experience the adrenaline fuelled buzz of a competition. Festival Scoops Award

We are thrilled to announce that last week the P&O Ferries Dalriada Festival, in partnership with UTV,has become the first-ever Northern Ireland event to take home a coveted National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) Award. The festival, which took place for the first time last year beat off stiff competition to be named the ‘Friendly Event of the Year’.
The NOEA Awards celebrate the creativity and innovation of event organisers and suppliers across the UK and the festival was commended for creating an event that not only celebrated the rich heritage of the local area but also aimed to rebuild bridges within the local community.
Adrian Morrow, Glenarm Castle Estate Managing Director, said, “We are delighted to be recognised at these prestigious awards and this reflects the hard work we put into creating a community event for Glenarm and the surrounding area.
“Being the first event from Northern Ireland to be recognised in a UK-wide award ceremony is fantastic and we hope to build on the success of last year with an even bigger and better P&O Ferries Dalriada Festival in partnership with UTV this July.”

This week we are heading to Birmingham to the National Outdoor Events Association Awards Dinner were we have been shortlisted for a top events award. The National Outdoor Events Association is the UK’s leading outdoor events trade association. The association is dedicated to enhancing professionalism in the outdoor events industry through education, networking, lobbying, advice and creating business opportunities. Fingers crossed the Dalriada Festival wins.
