Competitor Registration

If you or your orginisation believe that you have the stamina, willpower, strength and endurance to compete at the Dalriada Festival, then this page is for you.

Competitor/Team registration and entries for the Rowing Regatta, Dalriada WIPEOUT, Dalriada 5K & 10K Run, Super Endurocross, Triathlon, Kids Duathlon, 10 in the Glen Mountain Bike Race and Beach Mounted Relay is NOW OPEN.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All competitors must be physically fit and have sufficient experience in participating at similar events. (Excluding Dalriada WIPEOUT)


The DALRIADA FESTIVAL Hunt Chase will be another real spectacle not to be missed. Taking place along Carnlough Beach, and according to tides, a course will be erected by which horses will be required to jump over obstacles known as hurdles and fences.

The course will include a short route into the shallow waters of the sea then back along the sandy beach.

Following last year's fantastic competition, with our biggest crowd yet, the Dalriada WIPEOUT will return on the evening of  17th July. A mixed bag of competitors will join forces hoping to win the Dalriada Wipeout Trophy. From slippery, messy and wet games to skill, endurance and utter strength this event brings together all sides of the community. Spectators will also be given the opportunity to take part should they feel enthused to help any of the losing teams.

We are looking for 10 Teams of 8 people. Participants must be 16 or over.

A £10 Refundable Registration Fee per team applies upon entry which will be returned in full to each team at registration on the night.

Taking place alongside the Sprint Triathlon the Kids Duathlon & Scootahlon will surely give the young and aspiring athlete the opportunity to spread their wings and experience the adrenaline fueled buzz of a competition.

Building on the success of last years fantastic event, the Sprint Triathlon, organised by Invictus Triathlon Club, will take place on the evening of 19th July (Ireland's only mid week evening triathlon) and will be open to both amateurs and professionals. We encourage you to take part in this energetic and adrenaline fueled competition.

Spectacular Super EnduroCross racing will make its highly anticipated return to the illustrious Dalriada Festival on July 20th 2017. The event which is fast becoming one of the highlights on the Irish Off Road calendar will be back, bigger than ever when some of the most talented racers will go head to head around the testing, purpose built circuit. Racers will have to be on top of their game when navigating multiple logs stacks, rock gardens, huge concrete pipes and even bumper jumps constructed with tractor tyres! Plenty of thrills and spills are guaranteed when this extreme event returns to the Old Quarry in Glenarm; make sure you are there to witness the action for yourself.

The Dalriada 5K and 10k Run will be staged within Glenarm Village, Castle and Forest. Timing for this year's event will be provided by Champion Chip. This year the race will cater for the more competitive runner with a Steenson's custom hand-made medal for the 1st Male and Female in both the 5k and 10k distances. For those less competitive runners, it will be a relaxed atmosphere where participants can accomplish personal goals and enjoy an evening out with friends and family! This is the ideal event for beginners and experienced runners alike.

To help keep the event sustainable we have introduced a minimal entry fee. For both distances the following fees will apply:

Pre-entry (before midnight Wednesday 19th July)  £8
On the night  £10
Kids 16 & Under  FREE ENTRY

Part of the Dalriada Festival GRAND FINALE

Taking place on Saturday 22nd July, the 2017 rowing regatta is being organised by Glenarm Rowing Club. It will be a full day regatta with traditional rowing boats creating a wonderful spectacle in Glenarm Bay. In addition to the regatta there will be a street fair, craft stalls, music, children's entertainment and much more around Glenarm Marina. Following the Regatta there will be lots of shore side entertainment including a fancy dress parade, funfair and a free BBQ, Live Music and a Fireworks Finale.
